About Us

The Community Enterprise Centre Limited is a voluntary organisation with charitable status established in 2008. The directors all live locally and are fully committed to supporting economic development in the West Limerick area.  The Centre, has four units, unit 1 and unit 2 are office units while units 3 and 4 are industrial units.

The committee, all of whom have been members of the local Voluntary Housing Association, have been involved in varied innovative projects over the years.  These include providing twenty houses for the elderly, and a hugely popular modern crèche and overseeing the constant development of village facilities.
The Development Association  renovated the old creamery and converted it into a Community Enterprise Centre.  The group were awarded grant aid from Enterprise Ireland, Limerick County Enterprise Board and Limerick County Council for this project.  Historically the creamery was set up in 1886 by the Broadford community and the present community group  revitalised the property by providing an Enterprise Centre on the site. Planning permission for the Centre was secured in May 2009 and the construction of the centre commenced in March 2010
The Centre provides  state of the art infrastructure and support services to encourage the development of start-up and small businesses in the rural community.  It has  a combined area of approximately 6,000 sq.ft.
